Frequently Asked Questions

How old does my child have to be to receive services?

For in home services, our therapists have experience with clients across the lifespan.

Research shows that children should be at least 3 years old before beginning online services. Sessions with children under that age will consist mostly of parent training. After the initial intake has been completed, it will be at the discretion of Unless. Therapy whether or not they will provide online services to clients.

How far will you travel?

Unless. Therapy is not confined to one location, but travel will be at the discretion of the therapist providing services. There will be an additional $20 fee per session for any client that is further an 10 miles from the therapist’s home.

Do I need to be present during the session?

Depends. For younger children receiving services through an online platform it will be crucial for the parent to be present for every session. Having a parent present fosters a more successful session.

For in home services it will not be required for the parent to be in the room with the therapist, but they will be required to be in the home.

It is highly encouraged for parents to be an active part of their child’s therapy. Children make more progress when therapy skills are carried over by those in the home.

What will I need to provide for the sessions?

For in home sessions, you are not expected to provide anything. While it is helpful to have preferred toys/objects available for the therapist to use it is not necessary. The therapist will bring their own materials to the sessions.

For online sessions, the therapist may contact you ahead of time to request some objects be present in order to help the session be more productive

Do you accept insurance?

At this time Unless. Therapy does not accept insurance. We are happy to provide you with a “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance company.

What age do you stop providing services?

Unless. Therapy provides services to clients of all ages.
